Parents have you considered the Gift God has given you? As Christian Parents God has rewarded you or given you a gift - Children or a Child. Please do not take your responsibility lightly. Spend quality time with your children not just time. Show them you Love them through your actions and kind words. This should all start when they are young. Take some to play games with them or something Fun. To be of encouragement to you challenge yourself by asking this question: "Do I spend more time correcting my child or encouraging them when doing right?" Parents, Families, Friends, my thought of this week was confirmed by a message at church. How much Do I love Jesus? How much do you Love Jesus? He willing came down from Heaven and and died on the the cross for us. Are we willing to do the same for Him?

* Parents should be a (Christian) Role Model for their children to follow.

“Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.” * Can you say to your Children as Paul said to these Believer “Be ye Followers of Me”

1 Peter 5:3
“ Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock”.

* Father’s in many ways the Home is the Same as The Church - you are (should be) the Spiritual Leader or Pastor of the Home - your flock that God has given you responsibility of.

* Fathers (Mothers) are you that example that God wants you to be toward your children ?

* Remember - A Tree bears Fruit that Produces another Tree after its Kind - Tree is Known by his own Fruit.

* Once Save we have the Holy Spirit which comes to live in us and through us. Our lives should demonstrate to our children the Fruit of the Spirit which has the Following Characteristics:

Galatians 5:22 - 23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

**(The Fruit of Spirit - One Fruit - with Characteristics that identifies the Fruit) (Example - Apple)

A.) Be an Example in Love (Agape Love) - includes Mercy, Forgiveness:

F.) Be an example in Goodness.

Goodness - uprightness of Heart and Life, kindness.
Goodness is Holiness put into practice and results from knowing the Lord.

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

G.) Be an example in Faith

Meekness - freedom from pride and arrogance; modest estimation of yourself.

Self Control which is not able until we are Sprit Controlled

* A tree without the proper amount of sun shine will not grow to its potential growth or produce little to no fruit.
* A Child without the proper amount of “Son” shine will not grow to their potential growth or produce little to no fruit for the Lord.

* A Tree will produce another tree with the Same Characteristics and Fruit as they are.

Example: An Apple Tree will Produce and Apple Tree (Red Delicious - Red Delicious)

* Thought: A Parent will produce a Child with the Same Characteristics and Fruit as they are.

* Each Tree and Person will bear Fruit - that has different Characteristics in and of its Self.

* The Fruit with different Characteristics has a Seed that is able to Produce another Tree after its own Kind. (God Design and Plan)

* Question # 1 - What type of Trees (Children) are you Growing?

* Question # 2 - What kind of Fruit are they bearing? “A Child Is known by their doings (Fruit)”

* A Parent’s Goal (should be) for their children is to live a Godly and righteous life that bears evidence of a Holy Spirit Controlled life.

Spending time with your children does not need to be expensive. Take a picnic lunch and spend some time in the park or go hiking together. When I was was a houseparent for children's home the best time we had was spending a day at the park or some where we could go hiking. Your children will remember this for along time. Especially taking time to play with frogs or trying to catch a fish. Do something Special Time with your children. They grow up fast and need a good roll model or mentor.

* Juvenile Delinquent - a minor who cannot be controlled by parental authority and commits antisocial or criminal acts, as vandalism or violence.

7 Steps to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent:

**The First step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove the Bible from your Home: (Allow all other reading material that does not teach morals or promotes the world views.)

**The Second step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove Prayer from your Home:(Allow all your time to be devoted to Other Things, beside this, if Prayer changes things why Do It?) **The third step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Restrictions from your Home: (Allow your children make their own decisions; where to go, when to come home, what friends they have, what to watch on the TV or Internet, etc)

**The fourth step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Parental Authority from your Home:(Allow your children to tell you what to do, do not enforces any Biblical principles, etc.)

**The Fifth step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove Anything that is Spiritual from your home:(Allow your children to miss church, youth activities, remove scripture pictures, etc., and replace them with worldly activities and ungodly posters.)

**The Sixth steps to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Doubts about Christianity from your home:(Allow your children to see a Parent that does just the opposite of what you tell your child to do, live a life of a Hypocrite in front of them. Examples: if you cuss, smoke, drink alcohol, take drugs, etc, tell them not too, )

**The seventh step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Biblical Discipline from your Home:(Allow your children to blame others for their sins and not be accountable for their actions)

1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

** The home and the family has been under attack since Creation. The Devil wants to destroy your home too! The method of attack will start with the Parents and then the children. If he can get the Parents to fail in serving the Lord and work through them to change the home from God's standards to the World's standards he has won the battle. Parents and Christians use the above outline to examine your home today to see if there are any changes that you need to make in your home.

School Time - Time to Start Reading with Your Child

Parents - Home Schooler - Now that School is started, it is time to spend some time with your children reading. Reading is an important, if not the most important part of your child's education. In my experience in working with children as a teacher and a tutor, I have found that a child that can not read well will not excel. The child that can not read many times becomes discourage, which can lead to other behavioral problems. The solution to the problem is not the school spending time with the child teaching them to read, but the parent. Children that have a parent or parents actively involved in their reading and learning will have more success in life than the child that is left to themselves to learn at home. My challenge to parents, grandparents, is to become involved with teaching a child how to read and enjoy reading. Your child will be happier and have a better learning experience in school.

10 Tips for Choosing Books for children of All Ages
(Taken from Reading Horizon's News Letter)
1.) Have children choose their own books as soon as they start showing a preference for one over another.

2.) Find the children's section of your local library. Get to know the librarian, who can be a great resource.

3.) Find out what your child is interested in, and help choose books that are related to his or her interests.

4.) Ask friends, family, and teachers what books their children have enjoyed; try a book swap.

5.) If your child does not like a book you are reading together, put it away. Reading is a fun time to share, not a time to fight.

6.) Again, Again, Again! Children may want to read the same book many times, even if you think they have outgrown it.

7.) Use book listsgenerated by various literacy organizations; they usually have good suggestions. For example: American Library Association, International Reading Association, Children's Book Guild.

"

Security - of the Believer is important as we walk with Jesus. Knowing for sure that our lives are in His Hands. He is is our Anchor that is Sure and Steadfast. Let me encourage you to grasp this concept and promise of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our lives are and will be much easier if we Realize this. As you Walk with Jesus take the promise above and live for Him. Being a living testimony of the Security we Have in our Anchor Jesus which is both sure and steadfast.

Salvation is the beginning of our walk with and for Christ. With every walk there is a beginning and the same is true about our relationship with Christ. Salvation is the beginning. Please consider the following:

The Way to Heaven - Are You Going?
Are you 100% sure that you will spend eternity in Heaven? You can Know for sure and here is how:

Acknowledge that you are a sinner."For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Realize the judgement for your sin is death, eternal separation from God."For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23a"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire ..." Revelation 20:15

Accept God's payment for your sin."But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you."That if thou shalt confess thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9 -10 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

Friend, if you would like to be saved you can simply pray:" Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner and without you there is no other way to heaven. I therefore ask you to come into my heart and save me. Amen"

Will you Walk Today?

1 John 2:6 "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk as, even as He walked" As Christians it is important today in today's world that we walk as Christ walked. In other words "Are we walking that those that are lost can see Christ in us the Hope of Glory"? Even in my own life I sit an ponder my life and wonder if I am doing enough for other to see Christ in me. My steps according to this verse ought to be the same as Jesus, offering hope to the hopeless, peace to the disturbed, help to the needy, love to the unlovable, and most important Salvation to those who are dying without Christ. Friend are you doing your part today? Or, could you honestly stand up with me and ask the Lord for forgiveness for not carrying your load? Will you join me in making a commitment to do more in these days of darkness to let your light (life) shine for Jesus (Matthew 5:16)? I would like to hear from you and be encouraged through your commitment.

Happy Father's Day to all those fathers that viewing this blog. Let me encourage you with the following verse:

** Ephesians 6:4 "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. "

> Provoke - to incite to anger

The Lord encourages fathers to "provoke not" their children to wrath.

--- There are many ways that you can do this as a Father: (I will give you 3 ways)

1.) Expect your child to do something that you are not doing.

2.) Nag at them all the time instead of encouraging them.

3.) Lord over them like you are a "god" and they must bow down to you.

<< Bring them Up - HOW?

>> In Nurture - The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training.

>> In Admonition - counsel, advice, or caution. a gentle reproof.

+++ There are many ways that you can do this as a Father: (I will give you 3 ways)

1.) Set the proper example before them in actions and words.

3.) Love them with all humility realizing you are their authority not their "god" .

1 John 4:16 - 18

" And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. "

Parents, Home Schoolers' why wait until your child is 5 or 6 years old. Check this program out. It is amazing to see children under 5, under 4, yes even under 3 reading. Children can be taught early to read as long as you are willing to put in the effort. Why not invest some quality time into you children today? Parents and Homeschoolers, Families, Spring and Summer are fast approaching and so are the vacations. Take time this summer and spend it with your children. I have heard many of parents in my 28 years of ministry say "I wish I could do it all over again!!!!" What do they mean by this is that they were to busy (thought they were) when their children were growing up to spend time with them. Now that their children are grown it is to late to build precious memories that will last as you get older. Children are a great gift that you should thank the Lord for every day. Please do not take your children for granted or push them away, you may regret it in the future. Let me encourage you to "Plan" a vacation with your children and make memories together. Who Are Your Children Chatting to Online?

Parents, Home Schoolers, I recently received an E-mail with an eye opener with a text similar to my title above. The following story was in my e-mail, please read:

** After tossing her books on the sofa, she decided to grab a snack and get on-line. She logged on under her screen name ByAngel213. She checked her Buddy List and saw GoTo123 was on.
** She sent him an instant message: ByAngel213: Hi. I'm glad you are on! I thought someone was following me home today. It was really weird!<>
** GoTo123: LOL You watch too much TV. Why would someone be following you? Don't you live in a safe neighborhood?
** ByAngel213: Of course I do. LOL I guess it was my imagination cuz' I didn't see anybody when I looked out.
** GoTo123: Unless you gave your name out on-line. You haven't done that have you?
** ByAngel213: Of course not. I'm not stupid you know.
** GoTo123: Did you have a softball game after school today?
** ByAngel213: Yes and we won!!
**GoTo123: That's great! Who did you play?
** ByAngel213: We played the Hornets. LOL. Their uniforms are so gross! They look like bees. LOL
** GoTo123: What is your team called?
** ByAngel213: We are the Canton Cats. We have tiger paws on our uniforms. They are really cool.
** GoTo1 23: Did you pitch?
** ByAngel213: No I play second base. I got to go. My homework has to be done before my parents get home. I don't want them mad at me. Bye!
** GoTo123: Catch you later. Bye
**** Meanwhile.......GoTo123 went to the member menu and began to search for her profile. When it came up, he highlighted it and printed it out. He took out a pen and began to write down what he knew about Angel so far.
**** Her name: Shannon Birthday: Jan. 3, 1995 Age: 13 State where she lived: North Carolina
**** Hobbies: softball, chorus, skating and going to the mall. Besides this information, he knew she lived in Canton because she had just told him. He knew she stayed by herself until 6:30 p.m. every afternoon until her parents came home from work. He knew she played softball on Thursday afternoons on the school team, and the team was named the Canton Cats. Her favorite number 7 was printed on her jersey. He knew she was in the eighth grade at the Canton Junior High School She had told him all this in the conversations they had on- line. He had enough information to find her now.
*** Shannon didn't tell her parents about the incident on the way home from the ballpark that day. She didn't want them to make a scene and stop her from walking home from the softball games. Parents were always overreacting and hers were the worst. It made her wish she was not an only child. Maybe if she had brothers and sisters, her parents wouldn't be so overprotective.
****By Thursday, Shannon had forgotten about the footsteps following her.
*** Her game was in full swing when suddenly she felt someone staring at her. It was then that the memory came back. She glanced up from her second base position to see a man watching her closely.
*** He was leaning against the fence behind first base and he smiled when she looked at him. He didn't look scary and she quickly dismissed the sudden fear she had felt.
*** After the game, he sat on a bleacher while she talked to the coach. She noticed his smile once again as she walked past him. He nodded and she smiled back. He noticed her name on the back of her shirt. He knew he had found her.
*** Quietly, he walked a safe distance behind her. It was only a few blocks to Shannon 's home, and once he saw where she lived he quickly returned to the park to get his car.
*** Now he had to wait. He decided to get a bite to eat until the time came to go to Shannon 's house. He drove to a fast food restaurant and sat there until time to make his move.
*** Shannon was in her room later that evening when she heard voices in the living room.
*** 'Shannon, come here,' her father called. He sounded upset and she couldn't imagine why. She went into the room to see the man from the ballpark sitting on the sofa.
*** 'Sit down,' her father began, 'this man has just told us a most interesting story about you.
*** ' Shannon sat back. How could he tell her parents anything? She had never seen him before today!<>
*** 'Do you know who I am, Shannon ?' the man asked.
*** 'No,' Shannon answered. 'I am a police officer and your online friend, GoTo123.
*** ' Shannon was stunned. 'That's impossible! GoTo is a kid my age! He's 14. And he lives in Michigan !
*** ' The man smiled.. 'I know I told you all that, but it wasn't true. You see, Shannon , there are people on-line who pretend to be kids; I was one of them. But while others do it to injure kids and hurt them, I belong to a group of parents who do it to protect kids from predators.. I came here to find you to teach you how dangerous it is to talk to people on-line. You told me enough about yourself to make it easy for me to find you. You named the school you went to, the name of your ball team and the position you played. The number and name on your jersey just made finding you a breeze.
*** ' Shannon was stunned. 'You mean you don't live in Michigan ?
*** ' He laughed. 'No, I live in Raleigh It made you feel safe to think I was so far away, didn't it?
*** ' She nodded.
*** 'I had a friend whose daughter was like you. Only she wasn't as lucky. The guy found her and murdered her while she was home alone. Kids are taught not to tell anyone when they are alone, yet they do it all the time on-line.. The wrong people trick you into giving out information a little here and there on-line. Before you know it, you have told them enough for them to find you without even realizing you have done it. I hope you've learned a lesson from this and won't do it again. Tell others about this so they will be safe too?'
*** 'It's a promise!'
*** That night Shannon and her Dad and Mom all knelt down together and thanked God for protecting Shannon from what could have been a tragic situation.

Parents do you know who or whom your children are chatting to on line? Take some time to investigate or check it out for yourself. Talk to your children, share your concerns for them. Also, Please share this with someone who has children. Let's take a stand to protect our children.
