Psalm
127:3 states “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the
fruit of the womb is His reward.” Both of these phrases in this
verse prove that a “Baby” comes directly from the God of Heaven
and that the Heavenly Father bestows upon Parents a heavenly gift
from above, their baby.

The
word “Heritage” has a meaning that gives that proves that all
children are God's children as well as direct predetermined gift from
above to parents. Jeremiah 1:5, there is evidence of this when the
Word of God speaks of the Prophet Jeremiah before his birth; “Before
I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth
out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto
nations.” God
in all His Omniscience (knowledge) knew what parents Jeremiah was
going to be born to, when he was going to be born, and what purpose
he was to have in his life. We can learn from this verse that God in
His Omniscience knows every child that will be born, to whom they
will be born to, and what purpose they will have in life. The baby
that is born is the “Heritage” of the Lord.

The
phrase: “The fruit of the womb” gives
a clear proof that the Heavenly Father through His omnipotent power
allows the womb of the woman to be opened at the right time for the
baby to be conceived. Evidence of this is found in Genesis 29:31,
this verse speaks of Leah and Rachel, “And when the Lord
saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb: but Rachel was barren
(The Lord closed her womb).”
Other verses in the Word of God that shows His omnipotent power over
the womb are Genesis 30:22, “And God remembered Rachel,
and God hearkened to her and opened her womb”; 1
Samuel 1:5 speaking of Hannah, “... the Lord had shut up
her womb”; 1 Samuel 1:19 –
20 “... the Lord remembered her …. after Hannah had
conceived.” These verses are
just a few places that show God's omnipotent power over the womb and
the conception of a baby. The baby is “the fruit of the
womb” that begins at
conception.

“The
fruit of the womb is His Reward”
The reward or gift of the womb is the child that is born to the
Parents. Psalm 139:13 – 16, David gives Praise to the Heavenly
Father who watched over him, protected him, and even wrote all of his
members (each body part) in a book while in his mother's womb. “For
Thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's
womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My
substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and
curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did
see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members
were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there
was none of them.” When babies
are conceived in the womb, this is the beginning of our Heavenly
Father miraculous creation and handiwork as the baby begins to
develop. After about nine months of The Heavenly Father using the
womb of the mother to nurture, protect, and care for the baby; the
“reward” or gift of the Heavenly Father is born to the parents.
Therefore, Babies are God's Divine creation given to parents as a
reward or gift.

In
conclusion; and the proof has been given, Babies are truly a divine
Gift from the Heavenly Father which He bestows upon Parents and gives
them the responsibility of raising that baby for Him. Praise the Lord
today if He has counted you worthy to give you the gift of life, your
baby.

Parents have you considered the Gift God has given you? As Christian Parents God has rewarded you or given you a gift - Children or a Child. Please do not take your responsibility lightly. Spend quality time with your children not just time. Show them you Love them through your actions and kind words. This should all start when they are young. Take some to play games with them or something Fun. To be of encouragement to you challenge yourself by asking this question: "Do I spend more time correcting my child or encouraging them when doing right?" Each response will determine their out look in life. Thank the Lord today for your Child or Children.

Parents, Families, Friends, my thought of this week was confirmed by a message at church. How much Do I love Jesus? How much do you Love Jesus? He willing came down from Heaven and and died on the the cross for us. Are we willing to do the same for Him?

"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me
and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall
come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels."

The most important role a Parent can have in their child's or children's
education is to be involved on a daily bases helping them with their
home work or just asking what they learn in school today. As a teacher I
have noticed that most parents do not have this active role. Let me
encourage parents to be a positive motivator in their child's or
children's education and watch them bloom in their educational
development.

Proverbs 20:11
“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

6 .) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Cultivating, (Biblical Prayer)
Cultivating - to promote or improve the growth of (a plant, crop, etc.) by labor and attention.
Cultivating - to break up the soil around the plant in order to kill the weeds and help the plants grow.

Luke 11:1
“ And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

Luke 18:1
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Prayer will keep your children before the throne of God and add His protection around them.
Teaching your children to pray will stabilize their Faith in God.

Thoughts to Ponder:
A Family that Prays together stays together.
A week without Prayer makes on Weak,

Proverbs 20:11
“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

5.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Watering, (Biblical Example)

* Fathers (Mothers) are you that example that God wants you to be toward your children ?

* Remember - A Tree bears Fruit that Produces another Tree after its Kind - Tree is Known by his own Fruit.

* Once Save we have the Holy Spirit which comes to live in us and through us. Our lives should demonstrate to our children the Fruit of the Spirit which has the Following Characteristics:

Galatians 5:22 - 23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

**(The Fruit of Spirit - One Fruit - with Characteristics that identifies the Fruit) (Example - Apple)

A.) Be an Example in Love (Agape Love) - includes Mercy, Forgiveness:

Three Words - Agape - Compassion- Charity

B.) Be an example in Joy:

Proverbs 15:23
“A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! “

C.) Be an example in Peace:

Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

D.) Be an example in Longsuffering:

Colossians 3:12
mind, meekness, longsuffering; “

Longsuffering is Love on Trail

G.) Be an example in Faith

Colossians 1:4
“ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,”

H.) Be an Example in Meekness

Meekness - freedom from pride and arrogance; modest estimation of yourself.

James 3:13
“ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”

I.) Be an example in Temperance

Self Control which is not able until we are Sprit Controlled

1 Corinthians 9:24

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may
obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

Thoughts to Ponder:

What type of Roll Model, Mentor, or Example are you for your children?
**Take time to watch your children and how they behave, talk, and act - The take time to examine your life and see if what they are doing is being taught by you.Steve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-10291138271026225792010-07-24T13:35:00.001-04:002010-07-28T12:43:23.225-04:00Growing Trees for God - Weeding - Biblical Separation

Proverbs 20:11
“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

4.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Weeding, (Biblical Separation)

* Weeding - to free from weeds or troublesome plants; root out weeds from: to weed a garden. (Dictionary .com)
* Weed - to rid (something) of undesirable or superfluous elements. (Dictionary .com)
* Biblical Weeding or Separation is need in growing a Child.
* A Parent must set boundaries in a Child’s life and weed out those thing which may cause the children not to Grow for the Lord.
* This may include music, activities (movies & TV), friends, video games, reading material, phone, and Internet.

Proverbs 29:15
“The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”

Proverbs 22:28
“Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
* The Ancient Landmark of Separation was Set by God with Israel and should carry over to God’s People today, including the Home - the children need to be taught Biblical Separation.

2 Corinthians 6:11 - 18
“ O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Thought to Ponder
Just as weeds need to be uprooted and removed; Parents need to uproot worldly weeds and remove them from a Child's life that they may grow more productive for the Lord.

Caution:
Parents should make sure their lives are free of worldly weeds before trying to uproot worldly weeds from you child's lifeSteve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-17140361767448737572010-07-19T16:37:00.000-04:002010-07-19T16:37:46.569-04:00Growing Trees for God - Pruning - Biblical Discipline

“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

3.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Pruning, (Biblical Discipline)

* Pruning -to cut off or remove dead or living parts or branches of (a plant, for example) to improve shape or growth. (Dictionary .Com)
* Biblical Discipline is not something you do to child but for a child to help improve their character and teach them Godly principles. (Remove the Un-wanted)

Proverbs 29:15
“The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”

Proverbs 29:17 “Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.”

Proverbs 22:15
“Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”

Proverbs 23:13 - 14
“ Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

** Biblical Discipline of a Child involves:
A) The Word of God

2 Timothy 3:15 - 17
“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

B) The Example of a Heavenly Father
Proverbs 3:11- 12
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

C) The Rod of Correction

* Rod - am instrument of punishment or correction, chastisement. (Webster 1828)

* Chasten - to correct by punishment, to punish, to inflict pain for the purpose of reclaiming the offender. (Webster 1828)

* Chasten - to discipline, esp. by corporal punishment (Dictionary .Com)

Thoughts to Ponder
Just as a Tree needs to be Pruned to rid it of disease so must a parent must Discipline their child to rid them of unwanted sin and behaviors which do not glorify the Heavenly Father.

A Parent should never Discipline a Child for something that they are learning from the Parent themselves:
(Example: if you cuss why should you punish your child for this? They learn by example.)Steve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-35330035714457248922010-07-16T11:03:00.001-04:002010-07-16T11:06:43.795-04:00Growing Trees for God - Fertilizer - The Word of God

Luke 6:43 - 45

Proverbs 20:11
“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”

2.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Fertilizer, (The Word of God).
Ephesians 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

* Train - to develop or form the habits, thoughts, or behavior of (a child or other person) by discipline and instruction.

(Dictionary .com)
* Train - to give the discipline and instruction, drill, practice, etc., designed to impart proficiency or efficiency.
Our Fertilizer should be the Word of God - our Training Manual to provide instruction, discipline, and form Godly habits, thoughts, and behavior in our children.

Deuteronomy 6:3 - 9
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

* Our Fertilizer the Word of God needs to be applied daily to our Children through devotions, talking, reading material, and even posting or hanging them on the walls of our homes.

1 Peter 2:2-3
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”
A Thought to Ponder
A plant or tree will grow better and produce more with Natural Fertilizer than with Artificial Fertilizer.
* What type of Fertilizer are you proving your Children? -
Natural Fertilizer - the Word of God
Artificial Fertilizer - the World and its Attractions

Take a picnic lunch and spend some time in the park or go hiking together. When I was was a houseparent for children's home the best time we had was spending a day at the park or some where we could go hiking. Your children will remember this for along time. Especially taking time to play with frogs or trying to catch a fish. Do something Special Time with your children. They grow up fast and need a good roll model or mentor.
Steve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-7806841212226536542010-07-08T18:22:00.002-04:002010-07-08T18:31:53.056-04:00Family Time
Parents, one of the most important times of the day is Family time. While school is out plan some time just with your children. God has given them to you for purpose and that is to raise them in them according to God's Word. To many children today are left to themselves and this allows them to fall into the hands of Satan and his traps. Spend time with them today so they will want to spend time with you in the future.

Psalms 127:3
"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

Steve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-6294897797591423012009-10-26T14:09:00.005-04:002009-10-26T14:21:21.019-04:00How To Raise a Juvenile Delinquent

* Juvenile Delinquent - a minor who cannot be controlled by parental authority and commits antisocial or criminal acts, as vandalism or violence.

7 Steps to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent:

**The First step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove the Bible from your Home: (Allow all other reading material that does not teach morals or promotes the world views.)

**The Second step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove Prayer from your Home:(Allow all your time to be devoted to Other Things, beside this, if Prayer changes things why Do It?) **The third step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Restrictions from your Home: (Allow your children make their own decisions; where to go, when to come home, what friends they have, what to watch on the TV or Internet, etc)

**The fourth step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Parental Authority from your Home:(Allow your children to tell you what to do, do not enforces any Biblical principles, etc.)

**The Fifth step to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove Anything that is Spiritual from your home:(Allow your children to miss church, youth activities, remove scripture pictures, etc., and replace them with worldly activities and ungodly posters.)

**The Sixth steps to Raising a Juvenile Delinquent is to remove All Doubts about Christianity from your home:(Allow your children to see a Parent that does just the opposite of what you tell your child to do, live a life of a Hypocrite in front of them. The Devil wants to destroy your home too! The method of attack will start with the Parents and then the children. If he can get the Parents to fail in serving the Lord and work through them to change the home from God's standards to the World's standards he has won the battle. Parents and Christians use the above outline to examine your home today to see if there are any changes that you need to make in your home.

Steve Wukmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03420235023658842822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1135247682815964358.post-67758397005815426412009-10-20T16:47:00.003-04:002009-10-20T17:03:24.556-04:00Teach Your Child To Read - Dyslexia, Downs Syndrome, Autism
Parents, Home Schooler, Teachers do your children struggle with reading? Reading is an important, if not the most important part of your child's education. In my experience in working with children as a teacher and a tutor, I have found that a child that can not read well will not excel. The child that can not read many times becomes discourage, which can lead to other behavioral problems. The solution to the problem is not the school spending time with the child teaching them to read, but the parent. Children that have a parent or parents actively involved in their reading and learning will have more success in life than the child that is left to themselves to learn at home. My challenge to parents, grandparents, is to become involved with teaching a child how to read and enjoy reading. Your child will be happier and have a better learning experience in school.

*************************************************************************************

For Help teaching your Child to Read - Go to READING HORIZONS.............
(click on banner to go to the web site)

*************************************************************************************
10 Tips for Choosing Books for children of All Ages
(Taken from Reading Horizon's News Letter)
1.)
