5.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Watering, (Biblical Example)
* Example- a pattern or model, as of something to be imitated or avoided: to set a good example. (Dictionary .Com)
* Role Model - a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, esp. by younger people.
* Parents should be a (Christian) Role Model for their children to follow.
Philippians 3:17
“Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.” * Can you say to your Children as Paul said to these Believer “Be ye Followers of Me”
1 Peter 5:3
“ Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock”.
* Father’s in many ways the Home is the Same as The Church - you are (should be) the Spiritual Leader or Pastor of the Home - your flock that God has given you responsibility of.
* Fathers (Mothers) are you that example that God wants you to be toward your children ?
* Remember - A Tree bears Fruit that Produces another Tree after its Kind - Tree is Known by his own Fruit.
* Once Save we have the Holy Spirit which comes to live in us and through us. Our lives should demonstrate to our children the Fruit of the Spirit which has the Following Characteristics:
Galatians 5:22 - 23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

A.) Be an Example in Love (Agape Love) - includes Mercy, Forgiveness:
Three Words - Agape - Compassion- Charity

“And of some have compassion, making a difference:”
B.) Be an example in Joy:
Proverbs 15:23
“A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! “
C.) Be an example in Peace:
Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
D.) Be an example in Longsuffering:
Colossians 3:12
“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of
mind, meekness, longsuffering; “
Longsuffering is Love on Trail
Longsuffering - patience, endurance, constancy, steadfastness, perseverance
E.) Be an example in Gentleness
Gentleness - moral goodness, integrity, kindness
Ephesians 4:32
“ And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you”
F.) Be an example in Goodness.
Goodness - uprightness of Heart and Life, kindness.
Goodness is Holiness put into practice and results from knowing the Lord.
1 Peter 1:13 - 16
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
G.) Be an example in Faith
Colossians 1:4
“ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,”
H.) Be an Example in Meekness
Meekness - freedom from pride and arrogance; modest estimation of yourself.
James 3:13
“ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”
I.) Be an example in Temperance
Self Control which is not able until we are Sprit Controlled
1 Corinthians 9:24
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may
obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” Thoughts to Ponder:

**Take time to watch your children and how they behave, talk, and act - The take time to examine your life and see if what they are doing is being taught by you.
